Joint Press Release

Lincoln, NE.  Effective on Monday, March 23, 2020, Lincoln Orthopaedic Center and Nebraska Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine, PC will suspend all elective procedures for the foreseeable future.  This decision was not made lightly, but with the best interests of our community in mind.  The Surgeon General has strongly recommended the suspension of elective procedures and Medicare (CMS) made similar recommendations.

Today, Friday 20, 2020 will be the last day for elective procedures until further notice.

Our providers will be working with their medical teams to contact effected patients and reschedule surgeries.  At this time, we are looking at rescheduling procedures as soon as safely possible.  We will be monitoring the status of the Coronavirus Pandemic and will communicate out any updates as they become available.

This is a very fluid situation, and we understand this will cause a lot of stress and anxiety for our patients.  We are committed to keeping our patients informed and doing as much as we can for them during this time.

Our physicians will continue to perform emergent surgeries and see patients for their orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions.  Our offices continue to take orthopaedic call. Our goal and top priority is to welcome patients to the practices for any urgent orthopaedic needs and to help them bypass family practice offices, urgent cares, and emergency rooms so those facilities can focus on the sick.  We will continue to take precautions to ensure patients who enter our clinics are healthy and low risk for COVID-19, and appreciate everyone’s efforts.
