Janelle was raised south of Lincoln near Sprague, Nebraska. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from the University of Nebraska Lincoln. She went on to receive her Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2020. Janelle spent 3 years working in orthopedic trauma and trauma surgery before joining Nebraska Orthopedic Center. In her free time, Janelle enjoys staying active, traveling, and spending time with her husband and dog.
