ROBERT W. DUGAS, MD

Dr. Dugas came to Nebraska from the New Orleans
area after obtaining his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State
University, there accumulating Academic All-American and
All-American status as an Offensive Lineman for the LSU Tigers. Once
receiving his medical degree, also from Louisiana State University,
School of Medicine, Dr. Dugas completed his orthopaedic residency
and continued his sports medicine
fellowship training at University
of Wisconsin-Madison, University Hospital with Dr. William Clancy
Jr. MD, nationally renown for his contributions to accelerated
rehabilitation following ACL reconstruction. Having trained among
some of the most prominent leaders in sports medicine today, Dr. Dugas was lured away from private practice at Alabama Orthopedic
Specialties in Montgomery, AL to come to Nebraska. Since 1990, Dr.
Dugas has been an Orthopaedic Team Physician for the University of
Nebraska Athletic Department, in addition to Peru State College, and
Medical Director to the Nebraska Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine
Outreach Program.
