Cast Technician

Human Resources Generalist/Credentialist

 

RN/LPN/CMA

We are seeking a full time RN/LPN/CMA who can provide patient focused care in a fast paced, multi-provider clinic. Candidates must be able to support team work, work well under pressure, and provide a high level of medical care to our patients. We offer a full comprehensive range of benefits.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Rooms patients and prepares them for examination by physician.
  • Prepares for and assists physician with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
  • Triages patient phone calls and answers patient questions regarding ailment, appointments and tests.
  • Schedules follow-up appointments, tests, and surgical procedures for patients.
  • Completes patient disability forms and other necessary paperwork.
  • Adheres to infection control/safety guidelines, maintaining equipment, instruments and supplies.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and follows HIPAA Guidelines.
  • Assists physicians with recording patient progress notes, issues, diagnostic orders, and transcribing orders.
  • Observes, records, and reports patient’s condition and any reaction to drugs or treatment to physician.
  • Prepares exam rooms for use, monitoring supplies, sanitizing exam table and equipment between uses.
  • Maintains organized, clean, efficient and confidential work area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of the organizations policies, regulations and procedures to administer patient care.
  • Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.
  • Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records.
  • Skill in appropriate use of universal precautions, safe workplace, and confidentiality methods.
  • Skill in health information management by appropriately charting patient data.
  • Ability to properly interact with patients, families, physicians, staff, and others.
  • Ability to flexibly respond to changing demands.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • 2 years’ experience in Orthopedics or in a hospital setting is preferred
  • CPR and BLS Certified
  • Valid licensure

Cast Technician

We are accepting applications for a full-time Cast Technician. This position is responsible for providing direct care to patients under the supervision of the treating physician.  Cast technicians assist in splinting, casting, bracing and educating patients on proper use and care of these items.  Applicants must have a desire to provide the highest quality of customer service, be focused on achieving patient satisfaction, and enjoy a faced-paced environment.  Onsite training will be provided upon hire.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides quality orthopaedic care for patients requiring all forms of immobilization.
  • Responsible for applying, removing, and assessing the need for change of all types of orthopaedic casts and immobilization devices.
  • Measures and fits custom braces.
  • Educates patients/families regarding application/wearing of orthotic devices and serves as resource for patients via telephone.
  • Maintains patient care environment including: orders, receives and stores supplies; cleans/stocks exam and cast rooms; assists in cleaning and sterilization of instruments.
  • Assists hospital with fitting braces and special casts when needed.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and follows HIPAA Guidelines.
  • Attends required clinic meetings and participates in professional development activities.
  • Performs related work as required.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • High School or equivalent education
  • 1 year experience in a medical setting, preferably orthopaedic, is preferred.
  • Certification as a Cast or Orthopaedic Technologist is preferred, not required.

HR Generalist/Credentialist

We are looking for a full time Human Resources Generalist/Credentialist to join our fast-paced office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for personnel functions including recruiting, compensation, benefits administration, training, and EEOC. In addition to all HR functions for the Practice, this position also includes maintaining and managing physician credentials.

  • Knowledge of federal and state employment/labor laws and clinic policies.
  • Knowledge of compensation and benefits administration.
  • Skill in advising on best HR practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.
  • Ability to establish credibility, be decisive and have sound judgment.
  • Knowledge of how to conduct wage/salary surveys; to mediate personnel grievances and analyze HR data for critical indicators.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible HR positions
  • HR Certification is preferred, not required.
